Arctic Action

This is a report to the Arctic Council Sustainable Development Group meeting in Tromsö October 2008.

N4C is the hub of a Swedish Arctic Council initiative, Arctic Action. Presently all Sustainable Development Working Group projects are overviewed. DTN Research Group meeting at IETF 73

A number of people from N4C partners LTU, Folly and TCD attended the DTN Research Group meeting at the 73rd IETF gathering in Minneapolis, MN, USA during the week of 16-22 November 2008.

Avri Doria (LTU) presented a status report on progress with the PRoPHET routing protocol during the meeting. Full proceedings of the meeting are available on the IETF web site.

Project members took the opportunity to hold a number of useful face-to-face meetings and work on upcoming technical documents.

African and other 3rd Countries & Integration workshops

Taking place in Coimbra, Portugal from Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 December 2008 under the auspices of N4C partner IPN.

Media Report

Workshop African and other 3rd Countries: The workshop will demonstrate the N4C output and its possible impact in Africa, especially in education, health and business sectors.

Integration Workshop: The workshop intends to present the best practices in system integration, and establish a shared understanding of the N4C work.

DTN Research Group meeting - Spring 2009

The DTN Research Group will be holding an extensive two day meeting (March 19-20, 2009) in San Franscisco just prior to IETF 74. A number of members of N4C partners are expected to be present.

FIRE Week 2009

The EU ICT FIRE programme 2009 FIRE Week will take place at Luleå Technical University from 29th June to 3rd July 2009. During the week N4C's first annual review will take place on 29th June. More details on the EU CORDIS site - FIRE week 2009.
